Professional Profile
I was trained in London Deanery and I am a Consultant General Surgeon, and Colorectal Lead at The Mid Cheshire Foundation Hospital Trust. I am Head of Enhance Recovery Programme in Surgery (ERAS). I am also the Chairperson of the Multidisciplinary colorectal team. I am a part of a very busy NHS clinical practice for both elective and emergency surgery in Cheshire and have a special interest in key-hole surgery for benign and malignant colorectal disease. I also specialise in laparoscopic hernia repair surgery and surgery for gall bladder disease.
I am an expert in minimal invasive surgery for haemorrhoids (HALO procedure and THD procedure, PPH. I am a National Trainer for THD procedure in the United Kingdom. I am also a National Trainer for LAPCO (National Training Programme for Laparoscopic Colorectal Surgery). I play an active part in teaching and training of surgical trainees and am Educational Supervisor in surgery at Leighton hospital in Cheshire. I have also published various clinical publications in scientific journals.
